Found in Myanmar, Sri Lanka, USA, Australia and Nigeria. Known for wisdom, royalty and celestial. The blue hues are caused by the presence of iron and titanium. Also considered one of the top 4 precious stones, the rare velvety blue comes from Kashmir, while the inky blue comes from Australia. Sapphires that come in other colors, besides blue, are called as fancy sapphires.
